Let’s Celebrate: Halloween Edition!

Are you getting ready for your exchange student’s first American Halloween? What Fall traditions are you looking foward to?

October is finally here, which means Fall is in full swing! We love fall for many reasons including the changing colors and classic autumnal activities such as apple picking, hay rides, and watching a scary movie or two! For most of our students, this also means that their first Halloween is just around the corner. We are all very excited to take part in this traditionally American holiday so to get in the spirit we are holding two contests!

1. Pumpkin Carving Contest

Go to a pumpkin patch or visit your local grocery – it’s pumpkin picking time! Send your best pumpkin designs to inbound@americancouncils.org by October 30th for your chance to win! We love carved pumpkins and we love painted pumpkins, and as always, extra points for creativity or exchange-focused pumpkins!

2. Halloween Costume Contest

There’s no better way to get in the Halloween spirit than to don a costume and do the monster mash! Submit your scary, silly, or creative costumes by November 1st to inbound@americancouncils.org. Extra points for homemade and group costumes!

We can’t wait to see all the fall and Halloween festivities! Halloween winners will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram and will receive special AC swag!
